Ferrari 360 Major Scheduled Service

One of the more iconic cars to come into our workshop is the Ferrari 360 seen below. Unlike a previous Ferrari which was here for a twin supercharger project, this one is here for ongoing service maintenance.

A major scheduled service was completed on this Ferrari due to the current km on the vehicle and the log book schedule. We replaced the oil and air filters including the spark plugs. Also used was some brake fluid and transmission oil.

Ferrari F360 Modena F1 Service and Repairs

This black Ferrari F360 was featured in our other blog, but we ended up with a lot more work than expected, so here are the other images and comments on some of the very common issues on the F360.

F360 Modena badge on the passenger side is very distinctive

New timing belts ready to be fitted on the F360. This is a regular service item. We opted for the OE items for this application. There are several other options available. New tensioners, pulleys and other items have also been renewed.

Inspection reveals clutch and pressure plate, Clutch friction material appears to be OK.

Ferrari brakes. Not the best of brakes in the business, see what the other F360 owner has opted for as an upgrade to their standard brakes.

Quick look at the oil revealed heavily discolured lubricant. This Ferrari gearbox oil also servers the Limited Slip Differential and is LS rated. RamSpeed serviced both the engine and gearbox/LSD on this Ferrari.

Another common problem area on the F360, the gearbox mount. This one showing signs of cracking up. Needs replacement.

Lower control arms always suffer badly on the F360’s. Both sides showed significant amount of play. Replacement needed.

Cabin or pollen filter is blocked up. Many owners omit this filter in their servicing.

Ready to service and repair this F360.

Common issue with a lower front bar on many sports cars. This one is no exception.

Our RamSpeed Technicans are well versed with this model. Reset of the service interval.

Glamorous Ferrari rocker covers. Always look very impressive.

Service manual and records are kept in the special leather pouch. RamSpeed stamped and recorded appropriate service levels on this car.

Prancing horse logo on the side of the front guard.

Water pump starting to leak. Not an uncommon problem on F360’s. Quick call to Ferrari revealed no stock in Australia or Italy. Parts can be problematic, but with connections to many stockists in Europe we can get this one out of trouble.

Not original and not our favorites, but the tyres look good.
