Below is a customers Jaguar X Type that we did a minor scheduled service on. The service was completed according to the log book schedule and current km on the vehicle.
We changed the oil filter and engine oil while performing a number of checks over the vehicle. It was noted that the front inner edges of the tyres were worn out, the glow plug light was flashing and a gearbox fault that was on the vehicle disappeared once the service was complete. Recorded on the job card were the remaining brakes and tyre tread depth for future reference.
Last week we had a Jaguar X Type in the workshop to look at a few outstanding issues with the car. We were asked to check the brakes and report on the current wear %, replace the spark plugs, check the performance which was sluggish and check the cooling system fan which stays on even after the engine is turned off.
The spark plugs were replaced first as they were currently due. We then replaced the bank 1 and 2 pre cat including the post cat oxygen sensors as required. The tester was then connected to clear all the error codes on the Jaguar after which a test drive was done to confirm the repairs.
We noticed and advised the customer that the front brakes and rotors would need to be replaced due to severe scoring on the face. Noted on the vehicle was the front window regulator which was required, multiple coolant stains on parts of the engine and leaking oil from the engine sump.
An easy job to do yesterday which was a minor service on a Jaguar XF. The service was done according to the log book schedule and current km on the vehicle.
This involved replacing the oil and oil filter as required. No other filters needed to be replaced on inspection and the brakes still had some life in them until the next service.
One of our old customers brought in their Jaguar XJ as it was suddnely cutting out.
We first scanned the engine error codes and found errors relating to the crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor. The vehicle was raised on the hoist to inspect the sensors and wiring. Both sensors had to be replaced after inspection. The errors were then cleared and the vehicle road tested. Checking all the fluid levels showed the engine oil level was low so we topped this up. On the test drive the engine oil light came on and we found it was due to the oil pressure sensor that needed to be changed. This would be done shortly once we get the parts in.
Another Jaguar was in our workshop for a scheduled log book service.
We did a minor scheduled service to the vehicle according to the log book and the current km on the car. This involved replacing the oil filter and topping up the oil. This Jaguar XF was also due to get the brakes changed which we did to the front and rear.
