We worked on this Maserati GranTurismo that needed a service done and some new tyres. According to the log book schedule and current km on the vehicle, the Maserati required a minor service.
This service was completed by our mechanics and needed the oil and air filters replaced. We also topped up the coolant and oil of the vehicle during the service. The tyres were worn out on the vehicle so the customer chose to get some Pirelli P Zero 245/35 ZR20 tyres fitted while it was here.
There are a wide range of European vehicles which come into our workshop for service and repairs such as this Maserati Quattroporte.
We performed the minor service on the Maserati according to the log book schedule and current km on the vehicle. During this service we replaced the oil and air filters. Existing problems with oil leaks were fixed at the time.
When the vehicle came into our workshop there were numerous warning lights on the instrument panel after a towel was stuck in the book lock. We connected the battery charger and scanned for errors which there were numerous stored. These error codes were cleared and the vehicle rescanned to see if any errors were stored. We reset the SRS system as required including the tyre pressures and carried out a calibration procedure for the TPMS system. The suspension warning system logged fault codes though not currently present. We then raised the vehicle on the hoist to inspect the front wheel hub sensors and connections which were found to be ok. A potential front acceleration sensor replacement might be needed.
The rear boot lock warning was staying on so we inspected the lock and found a microswitch was damaged. As a result the central locking system was not able to be calibrated due to the boot lock issue. The rear boot lock hatch was replaced and all the fault memories were cleared and system initialised as required which fixed the errors.

On arrival the engine parts of the Maserati GranSport were uninstalled. Various inspections were out carried on the vehicle including a valve , cylinder bore (scope) and a timing belt inspection. We also repaired the wiring on the crank actuator and additional issues associated with engine not cranking. This vehicle required Long life OEM Spark Plugs to complete the repair.
Luckely the inspection reveled no engine damage.
Bore scope saw no issues on the inside of the cylinders.
